This was the third election of this kind in the Colony. There was one change from the format used in the 1905 and 1908 elections. The three
Planters Representatives were elected from three separate single- member constituencies. These were the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Divisions. Suva municipality still returned two members and Levuka returned one. Elections were held on 28 April.
